Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate is an emollient ester derived from isostearic acid that leaves a cushion feel with excellent spreadability and pigment-wetting ability. It provides unusually high levels of gloss, substantivity, and water resistance.
Due to its high molecular weight and low migration, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate remains at the skin surface, providing a prominent, soft, cushiony, lubricious feel. It forms a water-repellent, long-lasting lipid film that serves as a protective barrier to prevent moisture loss.
Providing excellent lubricity, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate is an excellent dispersion medium for inorganic pigments and a viscosity-modifying agent with high substantivity.
