Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2 is a synthetic peptide (sequence Ac-Lys-Asp-Val-Tyr) with proven effects in combating skin sagging. It helps to stimulate the skin's fundamental proteins, such as collagen and elastin, facilitating and improving cohesion between cells and the ECM (extracellular matrix). It is known under the trade name Peptigravity.

Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2 lifts the skin and maintains facial contour, activating FBLN5 and LOXL1 glycoproteins, fundamental components for keeping elastin fibers properly organized and functioning. Together with collagen molecules and elements of the multiprotein complexes, they provide firmness and resistance to the skin.

Increasing collagen and elastin gene expression, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2 helps prevent the effects of gravity while reorganizing elastin and collagen fibers. It promotes the junction between cells and the ECM, which is extremely important in communicating and forming the structural network in the dermis.

Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2 helps to reduce problems with skin sagging and dermal disorganization, consequently promoting better restructuring and cohesion of the dermis. It can be used in anti-aging products to help maintain facial contour and to help reduce sagging in the chest and neck. It is also used in high-end after-weight-loss products.
