Diamond Sirt is a conjugated complex formed by silicon dioxide microspheres covered with aggregated diamonds that stabilize function-sirtuin peptide (Acetyl sh-Pentapeptide-35) for use in anti-aging treatments. Prefix "sh" is an abbreviation from "synthetic human", so it's an analog of a peptide or a part of a protein found in the human body.

Aging is a progressive, degenerative, and irreversible syndrome of changes that occur in molecules, cells, and organs, where proteins, lipids, and DNA are seriously affected. Senescence is mainly a consequence of cumulative intracellular damage in which antiaging activators and inhibitors play a key factor in the cell life cycle. The FOX (Forkhead Box) and SIRTUINS proteins have an important role by acting as anti-aging factors and, thus, having the capacity to modulate the cell life cycle.

In the cell nucleus, the human SIRT1 protein associates with several specific structures (such as NAD+, transcription factors, and acetylated proteins) for its deacetylation. This process generates nicotinamide, deacetylated lysine, and OAADPr. Increased OAADPr protects cells by reducing ROS production and increasing NADPH levels which decrease cell damage.

The superstar ingredient resveratrol is able to increase Sirtuins levels and activate dermal fibroblasts and keratinocytes. In comparative tests with resveratrol and Acetyl sh-Pentapeptide-35, the last showed better results in activation for both fibroblasts and keratinocytes. Diamond Sirt increases ECM (extracellular matrix) component production (especially collagen and elastin) and boosts natural protective mechanisms against free radicals, exposing a smoother, youthful, and healthy appearance.

F.A.Q.

What are Sirtuins?

They are a class of enzymes found in living organisms that promote biochemical reactions within cells, allowing cells to survive cell damage and delay aging.
