Bellis Perennis Flower Extract influences biochemical pathways involved in melanin production by:
- Inhibition of tyrosinase, transcriptional control of tyrosinase expression
- Reduction of the pro-melanogenic mediators endothelin and α-MSH (melanin-stimulating hormone)
- Reduction of melanosome transfer to keratinocytes.
Bellis Perennis Flower Extract is used in skin brightening, after-sun, and anti-aging products in 2 - 5% concentrations.
