PEG-150 is a long-chain homopolymer of ethylene oxide with an average molecular weight of 8000. It is supplied as small, white beads with a faint odor or odorless.
The pH range of PEG-150 in a 5% aqueous solution is 5.5 to 7.5. In personal care applications it is used as a binder, thickener, humectant, and solvent.
