PEG-40 Stearate is a mix of esters of stearic acid ethoxylated with approximately 40 units long polyoxyethylene glycols. It is white to light-brown solid soluble in water.

PEG-40 Stearate is a multifunctional vegetable-based ingredient used primarily as a lipophilic non-ionic oil-in-water emulsifier (HLB value 17.3) and valuable as a humectant, dispersing agent, solubilizer, and surfactant.

PEG-40 Stearate is a common ingredient in skin, hair, lip, and eye care formulas. Thanks to its increased stability, it is even used in sun care products. It is non-irritating to the eyes and skin.

PEG-40 Stearate is a wetting agent and conditioner used in hand soaps, lotions, creams, masks, shampoos, and decorative cosmetics. Chemically inert with enhanced stability, it's suitable for a wide range of pH and actives, stabilizing emulsions, thickening, and improving skin feel.

Manufactured to meet the Kosher for Passover requirements designated by the Orthodox Union (OU). The specifications of PEG-40 Stearate meet the requirements of the National Formulary XVIII.
