Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil is a nonionic solubilizer and emulsifying agent obtained by reacting hydrogenated castor oil with ethylene oxide. It is a white to yellowish soft or flowing paste.

It is an excellent emulsifier with an HLB value of 15 to 17. Particular features are a very faint characteristic odor and taste in aqueous solution.

Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil forms clear solutions in water, ethanol, and isopropanol, with essential oils and fragrance oils, and other hydrophobic compounds, e.g. vitamins and alpha-bisabolol. If anhydrous alcohol is used, it may be necessary to add 0.5-1% water to obtain a clear solution.

Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil is used to solubilize essential oils and fragrance oils in water and water-alcohol mixtures. It has a good shelf life and is stable for 2 years if stored in the original sealed packaging in a dry place at room temperature.
