Stearalkonium Dimethicone PEG-8 Phthalate

Stearalkonium Dimethicone PEG-8 Phthalate is a complex of a fatty quaternary compound and a carboxy silicone. It is a white to off-white solid with a mild odor and a melting point of 75-80°C.

The former designation was Stearalkonium Dimethicone Copolyol Phthalate. It is also known under the trade name Stearasil.

Stearalkonium Dimethicone PEG-8 Phthalate exhibits improved water solubility, reduced irritation, and enhanced feel on hair and skin. It is used in hair and skin care products. The sse levels: 0.5 – 3.0%.
