Stearyl Dimethicone is an alkyl-modified methylpolysiloxane used in skin care and color cosmetic applications. It is a white wax-like substance with a melting point of about 30°C.
Readily soluble in a wide variety of cosmetic raw materials, Stearyl Dimethicone exhibits excellent spreading and hydrophobic properties. It is used in skin care products and color cosmetics.
Stearyl Dimethicone has many product-enhancing properties, such as enhanced water repellency, a non-sticky and soft feel, moisturization, and a high degree of substantivity.
