Naticide®

Naticide® is a vegetable-origin fragrance that is also used as a preservative or microbial growth inhibitor. It is obtained with a particular and reserved procedure, and components are standardized and titrated. On ingredient lists of personal care products, it can be marked as Parfum in the EU and Fragrance in the USA.

Naticide® is clear from colorless to amber-yellow liquid with a pleasant odor of Almond and Vanilla. It is dispersible in water up to 0.6% and completely soluble in glycol and alcohol. The refraction index is between 1.501 and 1.516.

As a preservative, Naticide® exhibits a broad spectrum bacteriostatic action against Gram-positive and -negative bacteria, yeasts, and molds. It is active in the range of pH 4 and 9. Depending on the formulation type, it can be used in 0.3-1% concentrations.

Formulated according to IFRA recommendations, Naticide® is a natural and safe ingredient, non-irritating for skin and eyes, and hypoallergic (has a low sensitizing profile). Oral acute toxicity is more than 2 g per kg.
