In fact, the sea is the site from which all life appeared some 4.5 billion years ago. Today, countless organisms from the world’s smallest (bacteria and viruses) to the world’s largest (whales) live and thrive in this virtually boundless frontier. All the living things have taken the vital elements from the sea and concentrated them into their plasma, the fluid portion of tissues from which any suspended matter, such as cells, has been removed. This is the medium in which all of the essential life processes occur.

The plasma serves as a transport medium in which living cells are bathed in oxygen and vital nutrients. It also serves to remove toxic metabolites, such as those resulting from cellular respiration and protein synthesis, including carbon dioxide and urea. Marine Plasma Extract is produced by extracting fluid from the cellular mass of various marine organisms. This life-giving extract contains plasma, some cellular reagents, polysaccharides, vitamins, and essential sea minerals. It is made from a combination of seaweeds, specifically red algae, and marine animals.

Marine Plasma Extract contains essential minerals including iron, calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium. It is especially rich in iodine, a therapeutic element associated with healing, such as the treatment of inflamed joints. In the body, iodine plays several important roles, including growth regulation within the thyroid gland.

The iodine present in Marine Plasma Extract is complexed with algal peptides and polysaccharides, providing a more active and gentle product when applied topically. The mineral silicone is also present in Marine Plasma Extract. This element helps to organize polysaccharides, structural components in both plants and animals. The role of silicon in organizing the structure of connective tissue, including the ground substances of the skin, has also been thoroughly investigated. Marine Plasma Extract will also contain various small quantities of water-soluble B Vitamins. Vitamins A and C, Niacinamide, and Pantothenic Acid will also be present in their co-factor form.
