Dioctyldodecyl Fluoroheptyl Citrate is a triester of fluoro-alcohol, Guerbet alcohol (C20), with citric acid, a high-viscosity emollient ester insoluble in water. It is an oily liquid soluble in natural and mineral oils, fatty alcohols, and esters.

Excellent pigment-dispersing properties make Dioctyldodecyl Fluoroheptyl Citrate especially useful in all types of makeup and Titanium dioxide-based sunscreen products. The fluorine moiety improves barrier function, yet the Fluoro-Guerbet does not interfere with skin transpiration.

Dioctyldodecyl Fluoroheptyl Citrate provides increased slip and improved skin feel, which are benefits of skincare products. It also adds sheen to lipsticks, liquid makeup, and pressed powders.

An outstanding feature of Dioctyldodecyl Fluoroheptyl Citrate is its ability to formulate truly wet/dry-pressed powder cakes. The Fluoro-Guerbet possesses good mold-release properties for application in stick products.

Dioctyldodecyl Fluoroheptyl Citrate is recommended for lipstick, eye shadow, blushers, creams, lotions, gels, sun care, after-sun care, and hair care. The use level range is 0.5-5%.
