Glycyrrhetinic Acid (Enoxolone) is a natural triterpenoid, 18-beta-glycyrrhetinic acid from licorice root. It is used in anti-aging, sensitive skin, and eye products.
Thanks to its potent anti-inflammatory properties, Glycyrrhetinic Acid is a soothing agent for treating acute and chronic skin irritations. Anti-edema properties make it beneficial against under-eye puffiness.
In addition, Glycyrrhetinic Acid is beneficial against cold sores. It also inhibits collagen degradation and has a noticeable skin-firming and anti-aging effect. It is used in 0.5 - 1% concentrations.
