Laureth-6 Carboxylic Acid is an alcohol ether carboxylate, a multi-functional surfactant with the common attributes of mildness and hypochlorite stability. Its performance can be tailored as a function of pH.

Under acidic conditions, Laureth-6 Carboxylic Acid functions as a nonionic; under alkaline conditions, it functions as a hard water-tolerant anionic. It is used in high-foaming anionic systems for mildness and oil solubilization.

In household cleansing products, Laureth-6 Carboxylic Acid takes advantage of the hypochlorite stability and is used in efficient shower and bath cleaners.

Thanks to its mildness, efficient foaming, wetting, and detergency, Laureth-6 Carboxylic Acid is used in shampoos, 2-in-1 conditioning shampoos, hand soaps, and liquid dish and laundry formulations. It is a readily biodegradable ingredient, non-VOC, and easy to handle.
