Tricaprylin (also known as glycerol tricaprylate; its former designation was Tricaprylate) is a triglyceride derived by esterifying caprylic acid and glycerine. Refined and deodorized, it is a clear liquid with a bland odor, miscible with most organic solvents, including pure ethanol.

Tricaprylin has excellent stability, low irritation, and a bland taste and odor. It is used in pharmaceuticals, perfume, and personal care products as an emollient, solubilizer, and carrier. It appears in lotions, creams, and decorative cosmetics.
