Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 is a conjugate of palmitic acid and peptide with a GHK sequence (may be marked as Pal-GHK). Conjugation allows Tripeptide-1 to penetrate through the skin barrier and signal cells to enhance collagen production. Studies showed an elevated stimulation of ECM components synthesis, mainly collagen, and glycosaminoglycan (GAG), with a noticeable decrease of wrinkles length, depth, and roughness. Therefore, it is frequently used in combination with Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 (tetrapeptide with GQPR sequence; may be marked as PA1-GQPR) to potentiate action and increase effectiveness. The activity of this combination is comparable to retinoids, but it has a significant advantage - not inducing skin irritation.
This anti-aging peptides cocktail enhances skin firmness, visibly reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
