Syn®-Coll (Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5) is a patented lipo-tripeptide-based complex based on many years of experience synthesizing peptides for the pharmaceutical industry. It is a small peptide with a unique sequence Lys-Val-Lys to mimic the human body's mechanism to produce collagen via TGF-β. The ingredient is offered unpreserved as a ready-to-use water-soluble solution that can easily be incorporated into the aqueous phase of a formulation.

Collagen represents the main component of the dermal connective tissue's ECM (Extra Cellular Matrix). Thrombospondin I (TSP) is a multifunctional protein that activates the latent but biologically inactive form of TGF-β (Tissue Growth Factor). TGF-β is known as the critical element in the synthesis of collagen and binds to a particular sequence in the TSP molecule. This sequence is known as Pal-Lys-Val-Lys, being similar to this Syn®-CollL also can bind and, therefore, activate TGF-β.

Skincare products containing Syn®-Coll:
