Horse Chestnut (Aesculus Hippocastanum) has tonic and narcotic properties and has been used to treat intermittent fevers, rheumatism, neuralgia, and congestion. Its astringent qualities have also helped treat skin sores and ulcers.
As a vasoconstrictor, Aesculus Hippocastanum Bark Extract has been used in products formulated to control cellulite.
Aesculus Hippocastanum Bark Extract is a light yellow liquid with a characteristic odor. It is used in cleansers, tonics, creams, moisturizers, and lotions for reddened or sensitive skin, as well as in protective creams and gels. It can also be used in anti-cellulite and skin treatment products to regenerate the skin and stimulate cell renewal.
