Poloxamer 124 is a block copolymer of ethylene glycol and propylene glycol in a water-soluble liquid form. It is known under the trade name Pluracare® L 44.
Due to its low skin and eye irritation, Poloxamer 124 finds its particular application in the cosmetic industry. It is used as an emulsifier in a wide variety of areas, from cosmetics to oral care products. Its HLB is in the range of 12 to 18.
