Polyglyceryl-3 Cocoate

Polyglyceryl-3 Cocoate is an ester of naturally sourced polyglycerol (containing three glycerin units) with fatty acids derived from coconut oil. Derived from all-natural raw materials, it is a pourable liquid oil-in-water emulsifier compatible with many oils that enable cold processing.

Thanks to quick emulsification at room temperature, Polyglyceryl-3 Cocoate is suitable for formulating bath oils with a blooming effect. It has an HLB value of about 8 and is soluble in oils, exceptionally emollient esters. It can be combined with emulsifiers with lower HLB to emulsify vegetable oils in PEG-free formulations.

Polyglyceryl-3 Cocoate is a safe, non-irritant, and eco-friendly ingredient validated by ECOCERT as a product of natural origin. Therefore, it can be used to formulate cosmetics certified according to Natural and Organic Standards.
