Polyglyceryl-3 Caprylate is a clear, odorless, viscous liquid, a co-emulsifier with proven anti-microbial properties. It has been shown to reduce the concentration of the odor-causing bacteria Corynebacterium xerosis at use concentrations as low as 0.05%. This activity has been shown to have a high degree of specificity.
Polyglyceryl-3 Caprylate is used in cosmetics, deodorants, and soaps. Axillary odor studies, which confirm its deodorant efficacy, are available where a long-lasting effect was demonstrated.
In addition, Polyglyceryl-3 Caprylate is very mild and has an excellent safety profile. It is readily incorporated into a wide range of formulations.
