Brookosome® ACE

Brookosome® ACE contains a complementary combination of three vitamins in liposomes to help protect lipid membranes from free-radical attack. Retinyl Palmitate and Tocopherol Acetate will help to scavenge free radicals responsible for lipid peroxidation. Ascorbyl Palmitate works by helping to regenerate the Tocopherol.

All three vitamins are provided in the more stable ester form. Thanks to the esterase enzymes in the skin, esters break down into vitamins active forms and play their beneficial role in cell protection, metabolism, and activity.

Brookosome® ACE is suggested for use in sun care formulations as additional free radical formation is caused by sunlight, especially UVA light. One of the advantages of using a liposome-based on phospholipids is that the phospholipid has been reported to help to boost the spf of the formulation.

The suggested usage level of Brookosome® ACE is at 1 to 2% in emulsions, gels, and sun-screen products. Low emulsifier and salt content systems are suggested.
