Methyl Glucose Dioleate

Methyl Glucose Dioleate is an amber, viscous liquid. It is a diester of methyl glucose and oleic acid. It is an efficient, nonionic, water-in-oil emulsifier with an HLB value of 4.4. It exhibits good mildness and safety suitable for modern personal care products.

Methyl Glucose Dioleate is soluble in mineral oil, castor oil, isopropyl myristate, corn oil, and other vegetable oils. It is a nonirritating and nonsensitizing ingredient.

Used in lipstick formulation, Methyl Glucose Dioleate is bland, with no bitter taste or unpleasant after-taste. Thanks to its lubricating property, it smooths the application of lip care products. In anhydrous and aqueous decorative cosmetics, it acts as a pigment dispersant.

Methyl Glucose Dioleate also acts as a stabilizer in multiphase products. It is an outstanding non-oily emollient that provides a silky-soft feel on the skin. It is used in dry skin creams, sunscreen lotions, skin gels, lipsticks, and other makeup.
