Solaveil™ CT-200 is a highly stable dispersion (no sedimentation) of hydrophobically modified titanium dioxide particles in a 50:50 blend of isohexadecane and triethylhexanoin. It has high SPF efficacy, true transparency on the skin, photostablity, and a light, non-greasy skin feel.
The thixotropic dispersion mixes easily with other ingredients. Solaveil™ CT-200 is an off-white viscous liquid with a solids content of about 50% (TiO2 content of approximately 37%).
When incorporated into a cosmetic emulsion, Solaveil™ CT-200 provides skin transparency equivalent to that offered by organic sunscreens. Total transparency is achieved through a tightly controlled particle size distribution that eliminates whitening but maintains SPF efficacy.
Thanks to the narrower particle size distribution, Solaveil CT-200 is appropriate for both sun care and daily wear formulations, with no “oversized” particles. This unique combination of efficacy and aesthetics makes it ideal for both.Ingredients
