SunCat® MTA is a modern sunscreen complex that protects from both UVA and UVB exposure, containing a balanced trio of UV-shielding ingredients Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate (20%), Octocrylene (10%), and Butyl methoxy-dibenzoyl methane (20%) providing broad-spectrum sun protection. Depending on concentration in sunscreen application, this complex can adsorb up to 97% of UV light, protecting in a 280~400nm wavelength range.

Sunscreen components of SunCat® MTA are in the enwrapped (encapsulated) form and don’t get absorbed into the skin or got aggregated, providing even, safer, and broad-spectrum protection. It is water dispersible, and refreshes and comforts the skin. Spherical capsules in micron sizes are double-layered and the outer layer is negatively charged, which prevents flocculation and helps for even and thin layer distribution.

In addition, SunCat® MTA has prolonged skin residence duration with almost constant SPF in 6 hours, is non-irritant, and water-resistant, while lets skin "breath" without any barriers. It provides comfortable protection and doesn't need high oil content in the formulation. It is non-oily, non-sticky, and has excellent photostability.

This complex is compatible with many other ingredients used in sun care applications, including all types of emulsifying systems and reflecting solids like Titanium dioxide. It is useful in the pH range of 5~7.5 and in both "cold" and "hot" process formulations, with controlled SPF levels. SunCat® MTA is used in sun protection lotions, gels, creams, solutions, suspensions, and in cosmetics.
