Benzophenone-2 is a benzophenone derivative (2,2', 4,4'-Tetrahydroxybenzophenone) that is used in sun care applications as an ultraviolet absorber. It is a yellow powder, soluble in oils, aqueous/alcoholic solutions, and surfactant formulations.
