OlivOil Avante

OlivOil Avante is a natural, PEG-free, and soft surfactant of botanical origin based on oat and olive oil. It is a non-ethoxylated and sulfur-free plant-derived surfactant, a lipoprotein obtained through condensation between the carboxyl group of fatty acids derived from olive (lipophilic side) oil and the amino group of the hydrolyzed wheat proteins (hydrophilic side).

Olivoil Avenate is of simple employ and is supplied as an aqueous solution ready to use in a formulation. It can be incorporated into cleansing cosmetic products for skin and hair. Olivoil Avenate may be used with traditional anionic surfactants, in order to noticeably reduce the irritation potential of the entire formulation. Even at medium to low use percentages, it changes the skin cleansing mechanism, avoiding denaturation of the horny layer proteins or excessive skin lipids dissolution. While forming a pleasant and stable foam, it leads to a cutaneous normalizing action, leaving the skin soft and supple.

It may be also used as a primary surfactant for very mild cleansing cosmetics. Furthermore, thanks to the hydrolyzed protein fraction and the beta-glucan content, it might act as a functional ingredient, providing additional beneficial effects such as moisturization, emollient, soothing, and protection. 

Olivoil Avenate Surfactant may be utilized as a soft surfactant in the cleansing of hair and dry, sensitive, or atopic skin‚ in which instance its soothing effect is noteworthy. It is also useful in cleansing formulations for healthy skin, or in the instance of an impaired skin barrier (due to erythema and desquamation), as a support to pharmacological treatments.
