Everlasting-ECO is an ECOCERT certified extract produced from the flowers of the Helichrysum (Shrubby Everlasting) plant. Flavonoids and acetophenones play a significant cosmetic antioxidant role in this extract, protecting skin and hair. The flavonoids' iron chelating activity and ability to scavenge free radicals are critical, as is the inhibition of oxidases, preventing ROS formation.
Other Everlasting-ECO properties beneficial to cosmetic formulations include antimicrobial and purifying actions due to essential oils and photoprotection from the range of phenol compounds. In addition, this natural ingredient is effective even in low concentrations: 0.1%-3%.
