Methyldibromo Glutaronitrile is a preservative, a highly effective antimicrobial agent used to preserve formulated cosmetic and personal care products. Thanks to a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity, it provides protection against degradation by bacteria, yeasts, and molds.

Methyldibromo Glutaronitrile does not contain or generate formaldehyde and nitrosamines exhibiting excellent safety and toxicological profile. It is approved for use in formulations in the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Asia.

Compatible with acidic formulations, Methyldibromo Glutaronitrile can be used alone or in multi-component preservative systems as a booster. In addition, it is compatible with difficult-to-preserve systems containing nonionic surfactants or proteins.
