Keratec IFP

Functions
Hair repair
Protective
Film-forming agent

Keratec IFP is a unique two-component active that works to protect and strengthen the hair. It is composed of intact keratin proteins (Intermediate Filament Protein) that form surface films that protect the hair from environmental stresses and keratin peptides that penetrate the cortex of the hair fiber to provide strength. The dual action keeps hair "youthful" from root to tip!

Levels of tryptophan in the hair are a marker used to determine the age of hair fibers. Hair treated with 5% Keratec IFP shows no tryptophan loss after exposure to UV light. Untreated hair and hair treated with only a base conditioner sustain losses in tryptophan levels, indicating hair aging. A protective anti-aging effect was observed even with 1% Keratec.

Keratec IFP produces a protective film that is very clear and consistent. This film was made by a simple dry-down of the combinations of intact keratin with hydrolyzed keratin peptides.
