Lactil® is a hydrating complex ingredient, a blend of the skin's natural moisturizing factors, vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants.

The epidermis is made up of substances that maintain the skin's water balance, providing elasticity, and hydration. These components are called Natural Hydration Factors (NMF), formed mainly by lactate and pyroglutaminate. They are easily eliminated during washing with cleansers and soaps that contain surfactants, causing a loss of water retention capacity.

Lactil® is a rich mixture of humectants similar to the skin's NMF, composed mainly of lactate and sodium PCA (2-pyrrolidone-5-carbonic acid), in addition to containing glycine, urea, niacinamide, lactic acid, inositol, sodium benzoate, and fructose. It is suitable for skin and hair care applications, with a practically imperceptible odor.

Lactil® is used in many skin care formulations, such as moisturizing creams and lotions and facial and body after-sun, for oily skin; in liquid soaps, and associated with sunscreens. In hair care applications, this active complex is used in shampoos, conditioners, and hair masks.
