Special molecular forms of oxygen called reactive oxygen species (ROS) are highly toxic to all biological systems. They arise whenever oxygen and water are present. What people normally do not know is that UV light is an extremely strong generator of ROS and thus causes premature skin aging, for example, while sunbathing. Compounds that can capture and neutralize ROS are called antioxidants.

GSP-T is a botanical complex derived from Pinot Noir grapes to protect the skin against oxidative stress. It is a blend of procyanidins from grape seeds (Vitis vinifera) and natural vitamin E (tocopherol).

These grape polyphenols are responsible for the well-known cardiovascular-health-promoting activity of red wine. They are among the best natural, water-soluble antioxidants. Vitamin E on the other hand is a highly efficient oil-soluble antioxidant. Moreover, procyanidins and vitamin E act in a synergistic way to protect against ROS.

A natural blend of water- and oil-soluble antioxidants GSP-T protects the skin against oxidative injury. It can be perfectly combined with sunscreens to provide the best skin protection and increase in UV tolerance.
