HSP Balance® is an active ingredient created by Laboratoires Sérobiologiques during a comprehensive primary research study of Heat Shock Proteins (HSP). These proteins are naturally present in our skin and other organs. They aim to ensure that cell proteins are in optimal conditions (spatial configuration, location, environment) to perform their biological role.
In the event of external stress, such as thermal shock, UV exposure, or exposure to pollution, HSP synthesis is induced and they act as molecular chaperones to repair damaged proteins. As skin ages, the HSP response to stress becomes slower and weaker, compromising the skin’s natural defense.
To fight against this deterioration, HSP Balance® acts as a precondition of skin cells, helping them to respond more vigorously to external stress by faster, stronger synthesis of repairing HSPs when the cell really needs it. This helps prevent premature skin aging.
Laboratoires Sérobiologiques has developed HSP Balance® using the germination of cereal (rye) seeds. Germination is a step of intense metabolic activity, during which endogenous enzymes of the seeds hydrolyze reserve proteins and polysaccharides into bioavailable oligopeptides and oligosaccharides. Always sensitive to their ecological responsibilities, Laboratoires Sérobiologiques has selected rye seeds cultivated under an ECOCERT label.
