Pal-KT (Palmitoyl Dipeptide-7) is the shortest matrikine lipo-peptide with anti-aging action that repeats the part of the sequence (palmitoyl-lysine-threonine) of the famous Matrixyl™ pentapeptide (Pal-KTTKS) and exhibits similar properties, boosting extracellular matrix (ECM) components production (especially collage) by fibroblasts. It has been identified via the peptide screening program by Sederma and P&G Beauty Division and proved its superior activity in comparison with other tested peptides in human-derived fibroblasts.

Scientific tests indicated Palmitoyl Dipeptide-7 increased the production of structural skin proteins like collagen and laminin. Studies with gene analysis suggest that Pal-KT also affects the expression of genes involved in wound healing and skin recovery.

It boosts the action of other anti-aging ingredients like Niacinamide, potentiating each other effects those actives deliver the best results even in minimal concentrations. Palmitoyl Dipeptide-7 is also used in combination with Matrixyl™ in some anti-aging formulations and it has proven its efficiency with visible firming, smoothing, and rejuvenating action.
