SNAP-8 Solution

Functions
Botox-like
Smoothing

Several factors are involved in skin aging, such as molecular mechanisms related to collagen and elastin proteins degradation, and lipid content in the skin. It has been clearly demonstrated that these factors can be minimized by decreasing facial muscle contraction.

Muscle contraction occurs when acetylcholine is released through a vesicle. For the release of acetylcholine, a compound with the proteins VAMP, Syntaxin, and Snap-25 is essential. This ternary compound, when bound to the receptor, is called SNARE (Snap-receptor). SNARE complex is like a cellular hook that captures vesicles and promotes their fusion with the membrane to release neurotransmitters.

SNAP-8 Solution is an octapeptide with anti-wrinkle activity that mimics the N-terminal peptide sequence of SNAP-25 and competes for position in the SNARE complex. This reduces the activity of this complex and the release of acetylcholine into the synaptic cleft. If the SNARE is destabilized, the vesicle may not release the neurotransmitter efficiently, and thus muscle contraction is attenuated, preventing the formation of expression lines and wrinkles.

SNAP-8 Solution relaxes expression muscles preventing and reducing the depth and quantity of dynamic wrinkles, caused by facial expression, especially on the forehead and around the eyes. In addition, it maintains and prolongs the smoothing effect of muscle-relaxing injection procedures.
