Skin whitening agent

Actiwhite™ is a botanical complex with a skin-lightening effect. It decreases PMEL17 gene expression responsible for pre-melanosome protein production and melanosome maturation. It also inhibits tyrosinase a crucial enzyme involved in the melanin production process.

Actiwhite™ has a significant lightening efficacy on Asian skin. It exhibits high skin tolerance and incorporated in skin care products it exposes a uniform, youthful and radiant complexion. Actiwhite™ is used in skin brightening/whitening applications and antiaging preparations targetting the reduction of age spots and freckles.

After 6 weeks of treatment, the activity of Actiwhite™ is equivalent to that of hydroquinone, without any accompanying irritation perceived by the volunteers. It is an ingredient of which the active components were specifically selected for their synergistic action to reduce melanogenesis. They were also selected for their perfect skin compatibility that allows daily use without the risk of intolerance.

Actiwhite™ is stable over a wide pH range and is compatible with a number of raw materials such as UV filters, AHAs, and vitamin C. It does not impact the color or odor of final products – emulsions, serums, or personal care products such as soaps and deodorants.
