Crystalide™ is a peptide-based complex by Sederma with an illuminating effect from deeper skin layers to the surface. The concept of "Glass Skin" is a very popular trend in modern skincare applications and indicates translucent, hydrated, and luminous skin. This trend comes from illuminating makeup that is often used and temporarily makes the complexion brighter, thanks to optical effects.

Crystalide™ contains a bio-harmonic peptide that promotes α-crystalline transparent protein found in the eye lens (about 50% of content), but also distributed in many tissues including the skin. α-crystalline is a chaperone protein that provides transparency and radiancy of the skin exposing the "crystalline skin" effect. Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-10 (sequence Pal-Lys-Thr-Phe-Lys; KTFK) maintains alpha-crystalline proteostasis (mechanisms that control protein synthesis, conformation, degradation, and aggregation) revealing the essential radiance of the skin.

In addition, Crystalide™ promotes natural desquamation processes, regulating the rate of epidermis renewal, the pace of keratinocyte maturation, and making the skin clear with an even tone. After harmonious peeling, the skin appears uniform, fresh, and shining like a piece of crystal.

Thanks to a slight smoothing effect, Crystalide™ makes the skin smooth and radiant with a flawless and luminous complexion. This complex is used in modern face creams and primers, which recreate the skin's radiance, like a highlighter, and allows for a more uniform tan.
