Vitamins & provitamins

Vitamins are known for their critical role in human health and in all body tissues, including the skin. Some vitamins, such as vitamins A and E, or pantothenic acid in the form of panthenol, are not only ingested. They can be applied directly to the skin to protect its structure or prevent premature aging.

Many vitamins and provitamins are included in nearly all exclusive beauty products. Due to their ability to fight the harmful effects of sunlight UV irradiation, immunity-enhancing function, and anti-inflammatory properties, they have significant protective effects on the skin.

3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid

3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (former designation: Ethyl Ascorbyl Ether) is a white crystalline powder, an ethered derivative of ascorbic acid, the most excellent derivative of Vitamin C so

apocarotenal crystals

Apocarotenal is a carotenoid with orange-to-orange-red color found in many fruits and vegetables (citruses, spinach, etc) that is used in foods, drugs, personal care applications, and decorative cosmetics as a safe colorant or pigment.

Ascorbic Acid Polypeptide is a vitamin C peptide complex also known under the trade name Vitazyme® C. Compared with a synthetic vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), which is unstable in preparations, it has good stability in water solutions and other aqueous systems.

Vitamin C, chemically known as l-ascorbic acid, has been valued for centuries due to its incredible ability to prevent disease (such as scurvy), and for its important role in many biological functions.

L-Ascorbic acid, dihexadecanoate

Ascorbyl Dipalmitate is a white crystalline powder, an oil-soluble and stable Vitamin C derivative. It is a diester of L-ascorbic and palmitic acids, also known under the trade name Nikkol CP.

Ascorbyl Isostearate

Ascorbyl Isostearate is a stable oil-soluble Vitamin C derivative, an ester of l-Ascorbic and Isostearic acids. Incorporated in oil-based skin care applications, it exhibits all the beneficial effects of water-soluble Vitamin C on the skin.

Everwhite™ VCL

Ascorbyl Lactoside is a Vitamin C derivative with adequate stability, safety, and whitening performance. Structurally, it is close to Ascorbyl Glucoside and suitable for skincare applications. It is known under the trade name Everwhite™ VCL.

Ascorbyl Linoleate

Ascorbyl Linoleate is an ester of Ascorbic and Linoleic acids, a vitamin C oil-soluble derivative obtained by a biotechnological process using a lipase-catalyzed synthesis. It is used in food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetic applications.

Ascorbyl Methylsilanol Pectinate is a stable water-soluble Vitamin C derivative, an Ascorbic acid conjugate with Silanetriol and Pectin. It is known under the trade name Ascorbosilane C and developed by Exsymol.

Ascorbyl Palmitate (ester of L-ascorbic and palmitic acids)
Ascorbyl palmitate is the ester of L-ascorbic and palmitic acids. It's a fat- and water-soluble (amphipathic) antioxidant that has an increased shelf life thus used in many formulations.
Ascorbyl Stearate

Ascorbyl Stearate is a stable oil-soluble Vitamin C derivative, a monoester of l-Ascorbic and stearic acids. It is mainly used in the food industry and is an edible antioxidant.

Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate
Like other forms of Vitamin C, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate helps prevent cellular aging by inhibiting the cross-linking of collagen, oxidation of proteins, and lipid peroxidation.

Ascorbyl Tocopheryl Maleate is a diester of Maleic acid with Vitamin C and E (l-Ascorbic acid and α-Tocopherol) used in personal care applications and the pharmaceutical industry, with properties intrinsic to both vitamins.

Psoralea Corylifolia
Bakuchiol is a derivative from the psoralea corylifolia plant used in oriental medicine. The first natural alternative to retinol.

Human hair is affected by many external factors – weather conditions, UV radiation, hot blow drying, and mechanical damage are only some examples. In addition, hair is often treated with strong chemicals, especially by bleaching, dyeing, or perm weaving.

Benzyl Nicotinate

Benzyl Nicotinate (3-pyridine carboxylic acid phenylmethyl ester) is an ester of Niacin (nicotinic acid or Vitamin B3) with benzyl alcohol,  a member of the nicotinate family of compounds with a rubefacient action on the skin.

This carotenoid is found primarily in carrots and is used to give personal care products a yellow to orange-red color. The body converts beta-carotene into vitamin A.
Biotin (Vitamin B7)
Biotin (Vitamin B7) rescues the skin. How? Let’s see. If you do not use it for a while your skin looks dull, it becomes dry, inflammation and wrinkles appear on it, the face ages faster.

Vitamin B Complex is a combination or mixture of eight essential vitamins that work together to bolster metabolism, maintain healthy skin and muscle tone, enhance immune and nervous system function, and promote cell growth and division - including that of the red blood cells.

Brookosome® ACE contains a complementary combination of three vitamins in liposomes to help protect lipid membranes from free-radical attack. Retinyl Palmitate and Tocopherol Acetate will help to scavenge free radicals responsible for lipid peroxidation.

Brookosome® ACEBC contains a complementary combination of three vitamins to help protect lipid membranes from free-radical attack.

Calcium pantothenate
Calcium pantothenate has a positive effect on the migration and proliferation of skin fibroblasts. It stimulates fibroblast activity, suppresses free radicals, and enhances collagen and elastin production. A vital ingredient that heals, firms, and renews the skin.
CI 40850

Canthaxanthin is a red-pigmenting carotenoid found in the Chanterelle mushroom, in the skin pigment of certain crustaceans, and in the skin and organs of many birds and fish.

Vitamin D is a term used to describe two chemical compounds having equivalent activity, Ergocalciferol (vitamin D2) and Cholecalciferol (vitamin D3).

A duo of active skin lightening agents affects melanin in two different ways. Hexylresorcinol is an effective inhibitor of tyrosinase - an important enzyme involved in melanin synthesis. Niacinamide is one of the active forms of Vitamin B3 (Niacin) that prevents reaching melanin to the skin's surface.
Coenzyme Q10
Co-Enzyme Q10 is referred to as a vitamin-like anti-oxidant and is naturally found in nearly every living cell in the human body. This ingredient may assist in fighting off the damaging effects of free radicals and maintain the beautiful radiance of your skin.
Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12)
Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) is a powerful antioxidant that can scavenge even nitric oxide radicals; thus, it is used for handling pathological skin conditions. It improves ATP production, reviving, energizing, and speeding up recovery processes in the skin.

When the reactive Amodimethicone Soya Ammonium Chloride condenses with Dl-Panthenol and forms a substantive polymer Dimethiconol Panthenol, its former designation was Panthenol Amino Dimethicone.
