Emollient

Emollients are among the most versatile and essential ingredients used in personal care products today. They allow formulators to control the final product's all-important feel.

Emollients are designed to help formulators deliver particular sensory experiences into personal care formulations. Properties important in this class of ingredients are firmness, spreadability, greasiness, absorbency, slipperiness, gloss, and others.

But beyond that, emollients can provide a range of functionalities – from moisturization, solubilization, and lubrication to improving skin's elasticity and substantivity and adding gloss.

Careful selection of an emollient can invigorate the formula, making it perfect for the application. So what's the problem? There are literally thousands of choices of emollients available for evaluation—and a product needs to be finished right away.
Hydroxypropyl guar is ideal for hydrating skincare gel formulations that are fully compatible with alcohol and glycerine for soap-free antibacterial hand gels with the exceptional properties of renewable guar gum.

Isoamyl Laurate is an ester of lauric acid with isopentanol (Isoamyl alcohol) derived from vegetable raw materials. It is a colorless liquid with low viscosity.

Isododecane is a synthetic aliphatic hydrocarbon with a branched structure. It is a safe, non-irritating, and non-comedogenic cosmetic-grade solvent and emollient with low viscosity, good volatility, spreadability, and drying time.

Isoeicosane is a clear, color- and odorless liquid hydrocarbon with low viscosity and good spreadability. It is used as a conditioner in hair care and as a lipophilic, low-viscosity carrier in skin and sun care.

Isohexadecane is a clear, color- and odorless liquid for use in skin and sun care products to leave a silky and light emollient feeling on the skin. It is dermatologically safe, non-comedogenic, and non-greasy.

Isononyl Isononanoate is an ester of 3,5,5-Trimethyl Hexonic acid with 3,5,5-Trimethyl Hexonic alcohol, with

Isopropyl Isostearate is an ester of isopropyl alcohol with isostearic acid used in personal care products as a non-ionic emollient. It is a clear liquid without odor.

Isopropyl Lauroyl Sarcosinate is a derivative of plant-derived palm fatty acids and sarcosine with isopropyl alcohol. In personal care applications it serves as a potent solubilizer, polar emollient, viscosity modifier, and sensory enhancer.

Isopropyl Myristate is an ester of plant-derived myristic acid with isopropyl alcohol, a colorless liquid used as an active emollient in skin and hair care formulations.

Isopropyl Palmitate is an ester of Isopropyl alcohol and palmitic acid, a lightweight emollient that helps to moisturize skin. It is a safe, non-toxic, and non-sensitizing ingredient although is derived from palm kernel or coconut oils.

Isopropyl stearate is an ester of Isopropyl alcohol and stearic acid, a dry emollient that improves the spreadability of emulsions.

Isopropyl stearate is also a good solubilizer for active ingredients. It is a colorless low viscosity liquid.

Isostearyl Alcohol is an easy-spreading liquid fatty alcohol. It offers moisturizing properties and a very light, silky, soft, dry-skin feel.

Isostearyl Alcohol is ideally suited for facial care applications and has good potential for use in rinse-off formulas such as shower gels.

Isostearyl Neopentanoate is a high-purity synthetic ester that offers a velvety, evanescent touch and excellent spreading properties. Mainly useful in color cosmetics; add shine to lipstick or glow to a foundation.

Jojoba's wax esters cannot bond with other atoms or molecules, nor does it readily bond with oxygen - giving it an extensive shelf. As a result, skincare products with Jojoja will last longer and contribute to the skin's natural balance and youthfulness.
Jojoba oil is extracted from the seeds of an evergreen bush growing in the American Sonora desert. It improves skin elasticity, has a relaxing, protective, and moisturizing effect, and makes skin feel silky-soft.

Jojoba Oil Glycereth-8 Esters is a naturally transesterified Jojoba oil (Simmondsia Chinensis). This oil transforms into a water-soluble ingredient thanks to an exclusive transesterification process.

The rind of the green fruit of Black Walnut (Juglans Nigra) has been used to treat ringworm, tetter, and diphtheria. The nut is a food source rich in manganese, which is important for nerves and cartilage.

Extracted for the Cacay Nut, Kahai Oil is both highly regenerative and powerfully antioxidant. A rich source of linoleic acid, Vitamin E and Retinol.

Kojic dipalmitate is a Kojic acid derivative widely used in skin brightening applications thanks to its high effectiveness and outstanding stability in formulations. Similarly to Kojic acid, it inhibits tyrosinase enzymatic activity blocking melanin pigment production.

Lactomide is a milky, opalescent, beige dispersion. It is a nanoparticle lipid dispersion that improves the constitution and structure of the ceramide-containing lipid lamellae.

Rich in cholesterol, lanolin is well suited for the treatment of brittle hair and fingernails and dry and raw elbows, knees, and feet.

Lanolin Alcohol is an amber solid with a waxy consistency and faint odor. It is used as an emulsifier, stabilizer, thickener, moisturizer, and conditioning agent in personal care applications.

Lanolin oil is the lower melting point esters (liquid fraction) of lanolin, derived from the wool of sheep. It has a very characteristic odor.

Lauroyl Lysine is a fine white powder, a perfect organic powder for makeup, hair, and skincare products. Its hydrophobic characteristic improves makeup water resistance and improves the flow and spread of the oil/powder mixture.

Lecithin is a mix of phospholipids, a miracle serum that leaves your hair smooth and healthy. This structure-forming component helps repair dry hair. It infuses your hair with moisture and restores its natural barrier.

Essential fatty acids are recognized as a vital part of the human diet that cannot be synthesized internally. These fatty acids are the foundations of phospholipids, such as phosphatidylcholine, which are critical in the cell membrane to help facilitate the passage of biological substances.

Linoleamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate Dimethicone is a water-soluble organosilicon composition with high silicone content (60% of 25% activity)  that delivers an exceptionally high silicone content to clear personal care formulations.
