Historically, fixative polymers offer ethanol-based solutions. But, hair styling trends evolve rapidly. Newer fixative polymers evolved to keep pace with today’s regulatory and market demands for reduced VOCs and alcohol-free claims.

The chemists have produced an alcohol-free version of this same chemistry through unique polymerization routes. The result is new fixative polymers that still deliver the same high-performance attributes as their predecessors and fill one more niche in the hair styling market.

Derivatives of Polyvinylcaprolactam have already been found to be used globally in a wide range of styling products.

Acrylates/Acrylamide Copolymer is a terpolymer based on acrylic acid, ethyl acrylate, and N-t-butyl acrylamide, an anionic film-forming agent used as a hairsetting resin in hair spray applications. It is a rigid, relatively brittle polymer with a strong setting effect.

Acrylates/T-Butylacrylamide Copolymer is an acrylate-based terpolymer for hair-setting preparations with excellent hydrocarbon compatibility. It is a fine, white, free-flowing granulate with a faint, characteristic odor.

Balsam Peru Oil possesses an earthy, exotic, and lingering all describe this woodsy-vanilla-like scent. It is derived from a large tropical tree Myroxylon Pereirae up to 80ft (25m) high, with a straight smooth trunk, beautiful foliage, and very fragrant flowers.
